A friend in Moscow, Almaty or Istanbul sends a Yandex Maps link. You live in Google Maps. One tap should be enough.
Why Yandex Maps links don't open in Google Maps
Yandex Maps shares short links like yandex.ru/maps/-/… followed by a short code. The code means something to Yandex and nothing to Google Maps or Apple Maps. Without the Yandex app, the link opens Yandex's web map, often in Russian, and you end up copying a Cyrillic address into Google Maps and hoping it finds the right building.
JamShare follows the short link to the real place, reads its name, address and exact pin, and hands it to whichever map app the recipient taps.
Same place, your app. No Cyrillic copy-paste.
Businesses, addresses, pins and routes
Yandex links to businesses, street addresses, transit stops, dropped pins and “what's here” points all work, from any Yandex domain: yandex.ru, yandex.com, yandex.kz, yandex.com.tr and the rest. Links from Yandex Navigator work too.
Shared a route? JamShare keeps the start, the stops and the travel mode, and opens the same route in Google Maps, Apple Maps or 2GIS. Waze is only offered for single places, because Waze links take one destination.
