JamShare ("we", "us", "our") is operated by JamShare, Inc. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email support@jamshare.io.
JamShare is a cross-platform music-link converter. The service is available as a web app at https://jamshare.app and as native iOS and Android apps. This Policy covers all of them.
1. Information We Collect
Music links and place links you share. When you paste or share a song, album, playlist, or map link into JamShare, we receive that link and the metadata returned by the source service (track title, artist, album art, place name and address). We use it to generate the matching links on other platforms.
Device and app information. The mobile apps send a randomly generated device identifier (UUID), your platform (iOS / Android), OS version, and app version so we can route shares back to the right install and provide support. The device identifier is not tied to your real-world identity.
Account information (web only, optional). If you sign in to the web app at jamshare.app to subscribe, our identity provider (Google, Apple, or Microsoft, whichever you choose) returns your name, email address, and a stable user identifier. We store the email and user identifier so we can recognize you on return visits and link your subscription to your account. We do not receive your password.
Subscription information. When you start a paid subscription, our payment processor (Stripe for the web; Apple's App Store and Google Play for the iOS/Android apps) collects your payment details — we never see your full payment card or bank information. We receive a customer identifier and the status of your subscription (active, cancelled, etc.) so we can grant or revoke paid features.
Technical information. Our servers automatically log the IP address, user agent, and timestamps of requests so we can keep the service running, prevent abuse, and debug issues.
Analytics. The web site uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns. This is anonymous by default; we do not use it to identify individuals.
2. How We Use Your Information
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Subscriptions
How subscriptions work
JamShare offers auto-renewable subscriptions on the web (via Stripe) and in the mobile apps (via Apple App Store and Google Play). Web and mobile subscriptions are independent — purchasing one does not grant access to the other.
Web (jamshare.app):
Mobile (iOS, Android):
How to cancel
Unused portions of free trial periods, if any, are forfeited when you start a paid subscription.
What we receive from payment providers
We use RevenueCat as a subscription orchestration layer for the mobile apps. RevenueCat receives the same opaque identifiers from Apple/Google on our behalf and exposes the active/cancelled status to JamShare.
4. Third-Party Services
We send and receive data from the following third parties as needed to operate the service. Each operates under its own privacy policy:
5. Data Retention
We retain share records and link metadata so previously shared links continue to work for their recipients. We retain account and subscription records for as long as your account exists and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with tax, accounting, and legal requirements. Server access logs are typically retained for 30 days.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@jamshare.io. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
You can sign out of the web app or delete the mobile app at any time. To delete your JamShare account and associated data, email support@jamshare.io with the email address you used to sign in.
7. Children
JamShare is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact support@jamshare.io and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use TLS encryption in transit and standard industry safeguards at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; you use the service at your own risk.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email if we have one on file.
